Join California State Parks and Santa Monica Mountains Nature Journal Club for a morning of nature journaling! Start the new year by reconnecting with nature, sparking a new hobby, and joining a community of people who share your love of nature (and nature journaling). This program will start at 10am. There will be an optional beginners’ class while seasoned nature journalers will be able to wander off and journal their curiosity at will. There are multiple trails to explore!

Our December 14 meetup will be at Will Rogers State Historic Park, which has recently re-opened after January’s devastating Palisades Fire. SMMNJC member Dorothy Steinicke will talk with us about nature’s recovery, and we’ll be able to journal examples of regrowth. There could be lots of fungi in evidence too, after the November rains.
