October 11 Night Hike!

For our October 11 meetup, we're doing something a bit different—nature journaling through sunset into the early evening. We're hoping to see and hear creatures of the night, perhaps (if we're lucky) a male tarantula out cruising for a mate. It's the season!

We'll meet at Malibu Creek State Park at 5:30 pm and share a potluck meal before heading out with our journals for a little night hike. Bring a red-light headlamp, and a UV flashlight if you have one. If for any reason you don't want to share food, don't feel obliged—just bring your own dinner. 

We'll be at a picnic table near the restrooms in the Main (lower) parking lot.

Parking is $3/hr or $12/day. If you are a member of Los Angeles Public Library, you can borrow a State Parks parking pass there, pending availability.
