Nature Journal Club

For our October 11 meetup, we're doing something a bit different—nature journaling through sunset into the early evening. We're hoping to see and hear creatures of the night, perhaps (if we're lucky) a male tarantula out cruising for a mate. It's the season! We'll meet at Malibu Creek State Park at 5:30 pm and share a potluck meal before heading out with our journals for a little night hike. Our September 13 meetup will be at Sycamore Nature Center, located at the entrance to Sycamore Canyon Campground, 9000 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu. Parking in the day lot is $3/hr or $12/day. If you are a member of Los Angeles Public Library, you can borrow a State Parks parking pass there, pending availability. You'll pass the Nature Center on your right as you approach the kiosk; drive through, park in the day lot, and walk back to where we'll be set up under the trees. Googl
