Our November 8 meetup will be at Malibu Lagoon and Beach. Low tide is at 2:50 pm that day, so we're starting later than usual (2 pm) to enjoy some tide pool action. For our October 11 meetup, we're doing something a bit different—nature journaling through sunset into the early evening. We're hoping to see and hear creatures of the night, perhaps (if we're lucky) a male tarantula out cruising for a mate. It's the season! We'll meet at Malibu Creek State Park at 5:30 pm and share a potluck meal before heading out with our journals for a little night hike. Our September 13 meetup will be at Sycamore Nature Center, located at the entrance to Sycamore Canyon Campground, 9000 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu. Parking in the day lot is $3/hr or $12/day.
